After over a decade in my previous role, I did something both terrifying and exhilarating—I quit.
For the past 11 years, I worked in digital marketing, growing into roles that spanned SEO, SEM, analytics, and strategy. I was fortunate to wear many hats, manage large accounts, and help drive meaningful results across dozens of industries. The work was rewarding, and I grew immensely alongside a great team. But recently, I realized I had reached a crossroads.
I wasn’t burned out. I wasn’t angry. I just knew it was time for something new.
There’s a strange mix of emotions when you step away from something that has defined your professional life for so long. There’s pride in what I accomplished, sadness in closing a chapter, and excitement in the unknown. Most of all, there’s clarity: this was the right move.
Now, I’m focused on what’s next.
Rebuilding My Digital Identity
The first step in this transition was turning the lens on myself—updating kevinskaggs.com to better reflect who I am, what I’ve done, and what I want to do next.
As a digital marketer, I’ve spent years optimizing clients’ online presence, yet my own site had taken a back seat. That changed quickly. I’ve refreshed the design, restructured content, and added new case studies that highlight the measurable impact I’ve made through paid and organic strategies.
Whether it was increasing automotive leads by 600%, managing $44M+ in paid media spend, or helping niche businesses find their voice online, I’m proud of the work I’ve done. My goal is to make that value clear to potential employers, partners, or collaborators.
What I’m Looking For
Right now, I’m open to opportunities—contract, freelance, or full-time—where I can apply my skills in SEO, SEM, analytics, and growth strategy. I bring a hybrid perspective that blends creative strategy with data-driven execution, and I thrive in roles where I can solve complex problems and scale performance.
I’m especially drawn to companies that are mission-driven, growth-focused, and open to testing bold ideas. Whether it’s working with an early-stage startup or joining a larger marketing team, I’m excited to explore what’s out there.
Moving Forward, One Step at a Time
Leaving a long-standing role comes with uncertainty. But there’s also freedom in it—the chance to reset, reflect, and redefine what’s next. Updating my website was just the beginning. I’ll be writing more, sharing lessons I’ve learned, and continuing to grow as a marketer, creator, and collaborator.
If you’re hiring, collaborating, or just want to connect—I’d love to hear from you.
Here’s to new beginnings.
